Household Name Records’ brand new signing THE ARTERIES sees the label re-discovering the kind of talent that made its name with bands like Capdown, Captain Everything! and The Filaments delivering spiky, poppy and defiantly UK sounding punk rock. “Blood, Sweat and Beers” is the debut album from Swansea based pop-punks THE ARTERIES and collects their 2008 labour of love output of 3 self released, designed, printed and promoted coloured 10” EPs ‘Blood’, ‘Sweat’ and ‘Beers’ plus bonus tracks onto one amazing looking CD. Already gaining a huge buzz on blogs and message boards, THE ARTERIES have been impressing live too with headline dates and supports with Fucked Up, Strung Out, Bouncing Souls, The Loved Ones and a UK tour with Smoke or Fire and Fake Problems in late 2008. The mainstream media are picking up fast too : Radio 1’s Punk show has been previewing “Stop Today” from the album since October 2008 and Big Cheese have run introductory features, and even The Times Online featured The Arteries as a band to watch in 2009.
