The year 2000 saw the last physical release from Danish EBM/Industrial act Arzt+Pfusch with the album “LOVE”, and the decapitation of the original band member, Der Doktor. Then there were seven years of silence, and a new singer (Dr. Sigh Ape), before the free online release of the album “S.I.C.K.” in 2007 which was downloaded over 16.000 times. Now in 2011 Der Doktor is back in the fold and Arzt+Pfusch is back to the original line-up of Dr.A-Funz & Der Doktor from the first two albums “WARUM?” and “LOVE”. They have returned with a vengeance, and Joined Forces with Complete Control Productions. The release of “Lictor Evaporated” is the first physical cd from Arzt+Pfusch in 11 years, and it’s a hard hitting one, we can tell you that! The music is not only the good old “noisebmstupidevildustrial”, but it’s also drenched through with orchestral influences. They are ready to spread their “Psychotic Sonic Surgery” all over the Galaxy. The lyrics are still deranged and over-evil but now with an inspiration from the Warhammer 40.000 universe. The three keywords are still: burn, doctors and death, - the true recipe for a good barbecue party. Musically the material morphed in the current direction, which was a surprise to both doctors, as what they had in mind was something totally different, but they liked the new influences and ideas!
