Booker T Jones is an American musician, songwriter, record producer and arranger, best known as the frontman of the band Booker T. & the M.G.'s with whom he had a worldwide hit in 1962 with “Green Onions”.
Jones is a multi-instrumentalist best known for his pioneering use of the Hammond B3 organ. He has worked with many well-known artists including Otis Redding, Willie Nelson, Albert King, Bill Withers and John Lee Hooker. Jones was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, and received a Grammy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2007.
