“Technological Shack Job” is a tour-de-force of experimental mayhem within a tight conceptual framework. Damian Catera, Steve Lombardi, and Roxanne Benedetto weave an alluring sonic landscape that veers simultaneously towards rock, experimental power electronics, and more. This concept album explores the socio-political and psychological dimensions of humanity’s relationship with technology and in its inter-mingling with reactionary belief systems. The American project presents over 60 minutes of mixed rhythms and soundscapes, with outbursts of noise and samples developing into a wall of rhythms.
