HUMAN = GARBAGE

DYSTOPIA (1991-2008) Doom-ridden, metal-laced, down-tuned punk with a "Love Earth-Hate People" philosophy. Human=Garbage was the first full length (1994) released on the bands own Life is Abuse and Misanthropic Records with help from Common Cause in Germany who booked the bands first European tour. From '91 to '93 DYSTOPIA existed as a four piece (with Dan Kaufman of MINDROT doing lead vocals). Included with this release are the tracks from splits with GRIEF and EMBITTERED both from 1993 and another only previously released on the first cd format of this collection. Visually DYSTOPIA took influence from both anarcho-punk collage art and graffiti culture. Blending images of societal decay, inner turmoil and humanity's destruction of the planet to create a style that goes hand in hand with the music. The 16 page lyric booklet included and the imagery contained are indispensable along side these 12 tracks. Out of print for years these songs find a new home at Tankcrimes. Now packaged as a double LP with 10" sized booklet including a digital download card (CD format also available). The pure anger and misery that is constantly present on this record make it undoubtedly one of the most disturbing, depressing and misanthropic records ever. An essential part of any sludge punk, crust metal or doom fan's collection.
