ALMOST UNPLUGGED

In January 2008 Swedish rock legends Europe played the classic Stockholm venue "Nalen" with huge success. Whilst there, the band decided to record the show for this unique CD „Almost Unplugged“ and for a DVD which will be released later. Europe conquered the world with hits such as "The Final Countdown", "Carrie", "Rock the Night" and many more. The band has sold over 8 million albums throughout their career. Almost Unplugged is the "in between" record since the 2006 "Secret Society" and the new, yet un-titled, album which will be released in 2009. Europe is used to play huge arenas, but at “Nalen” we got to meet them in a much more intimate environment. The result is previously unheard semi-acoustic versions of Europe songs throughout their career as well as songs that have influenced Europe from the beginning from artists such as Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd and others.
