This album was originally released in 2006 by Division Records (Knut, Dirge…) on CD only. After a first EP in 2002 and a first album in 2004, “Ivory Marsh” did put the last nail into the band’s short and non-existing career. Looking back, it was like these youngsters were playing music that no one would understand for the 10 years to come. Part of the so called “post-metal” movement, Forceed were something else. Back then they were simply emptying venues. Too dark, too intense, too much ahead of their time, maybe just after the Swedish heroes “Breach”. Forceed disbanded right when socials started, there is no trace of existence anywhere except for two live videos and a mysterious SoundCloud link. Mixing dissonances with drones and post-metal with angry and evil vocals, the whole thing is a total brain and ear aggression, yet it is somehow made in an elegant way, and everything feels tasteful and becomes very addictive. I grew up listening to this band when no one has ever heard of them, and it is an IMMENSE privilege to press this beast of an album on vinyl for the very first time.
