Four years after their sophomore album “Regenjahre”, German dark metallers FREITOD, founded in 2005, finally return with their new full-length. Entitled "Der unsichtbare Begleiter", the album offers the well known trademarks of FREITOD (another term for suicide) like total sonic melancholy and catchy melodies, without neglecting the black-metal-roots. Deeply sad, languorous, warm and then again bitter, resigned and cold, the music and atmosphere is shifting constantly, while the German lyrics emphasize this with very personal thoughts and feelings. Fans of bands like Katatonia, Shining or Alcest shouldn't miss this depressive gem!
