Once again it’s time for a massive Swedish punch! 2 ½ years after their successful Metal Blade debut “Hellucinate”, IMPIOUS are back with a vengeance. “Holy Murder Masquerade” is the title of their sixth album, the most ambitious piece of work in the career of the Trollhattan gang. Not only is the music a bit more melodic this time around, creating a decidedly evil atmosphere, but eyes and mind get the full deal, too! Because “Holy Murder Masquerade” is a concept album, the story of a young man named Trent. In his sick mind, Trent sees himself as a true servant of God, and he’s about to complete his violent, gory work. With this album, the listener also becomes the reader. IMPIOUS spared no efforts or money, hiring well-known Italian comic book artist Andrea Cavaletto, who phenomenally illustrated the above mentioned story for the CD booklet.
