SECOND ALBUM FROM SWEDES LAKE OF TEARS
Lake of Tears is a Swedish rock / metal band formed in 1992 in Boras, Sweden. It is mostly known for the wide range of different styles employed over the course of its releases - ranging from doom-death metal to psychedelic pop , gothic rock and even folk - and the continuously high marks for songwriting and guitar work it received from music critics. The band broke up shortly after their fourth release (Forever Autumn in 1999), but to honor their contract with Black Mark they released another album entitled The Neonai (2002), which was finished off by the band leader Daniel Brennare (voice, guitar) alone, with little help of (then guest guitarist, now full member) Magnus Sahlgren. Headstones is the second studio release of the gothic metal band Lake of Tears. It was released in 1995 and still has many doom metal influences; future albums have a more gothic and melodic approach in music, though there are songs up to the band's latest release that still take inspiration from doom metal.
