The third album by an Heavy Metal band is consecrated as the most mature in most cases. This is surely the case of “Invincible”, the third and new album by Holy Martyr, a band that after two albums recorded in the name of Classic Heavy Metal with Epic tones, manages to reinvent its style, still remaining faithful to its musical roots but traveling towards new exciting musical adventures. Holy Martyr have always been linked to themes of the Mediterranean history, and the musicians are pioneers of a way of understanding music and lyrics from the perspective of the Spartans and ancient Romans. With the new release, the group shows it still has plenty to say, even after more than 16 years of work in the underground Metal scene. "Invincible" is an album that sounds powerful, actual but with many references to the past, full of energy, freshness and enthusiasm, different but at the same time similar to what was produced by the band in its previous works. The frontal assault of the title track explodes with an Heavy Metal with obvious 80’s elements but played with extremely amplified sounds and a really actual aggression. The band is pushing its limits once again, inspired by the history of ancient Japan, by the figure of the Samurai warrior and especially by the filmography of Akira Kurosawa, the master of Epic Cinema, a true passion of founding member Ivano Spiga. The final result is personal and not bounded to the usual clichés of Epic Heavy Metal, with a very energetic impact, with sophisticated arrangements and an elegant artwork. The decision to base the majority of the lyrics on classic and legendary movies has proved successful, creating a perfect and inspired union that fascinates and captivates the listeners. The sharp production of Luigi Stefanini effectively accentuates heaviness, aggression and the amazing melodies of the anthemic compositions, giving the songs an exciting "live recording" vitality. The album is enhanced by the illustrious participation of Roberto Tiranti, the extraordinary voice of the Italian power prog band Labyrinth. “Invincible” is the Heavy Metal album which will send you on the Way of the Sword !
