CRIMES OF PASSION (C.O.P. UK) founded 2005 in Sheffield UK have really drawn attention to themselves during the last few years, especially through their many live shows. Through those, they were able to gather a remarkable following. Their “music for the masses”, a mix of melodic metal, rock and riffs that really stick, that is heavily influenced by bands like Megadeth, Saxon and Def Leppard, who share their Sheffield origin with C.O.P UK, fits perfectly for festivals and club shows alike. In 2011, after the release of their debut album “To Die For”, the band of 5 got the chance to prove their abilities when Saxon Singer Biff Byford personally invited them to join their Europe tour. One year later, the name C.O.P UK spread rapidly and so the band played on Europe’s biggest festivals including Wacken and Bloodstock. They even supported W.A.S.P on their 30th Anniversary tour on the UK shows. The first outcome of C.O.P UK’s signing with the label UDR in 2015 was the release of the 4 track/double video EP “Kiss Of An Angel”. Just an appetizer for what was to come just a year later with the release of the second studio album named “No Place For Heaven” following a tour with the legendary Helloween as well as gigs at Full Metal Mountain Festival and the Full Metal Cruise IV. In 2017 Axxis took C.O.P UK under their wings for an unforgettable tour. The Sheffield gang also rocked the renowned Masters Of Rock Festival the same year. Now all signs pointed towards album number three but UDR’s insolvency forced them to postpone the idea. Unsurprisingly, that didn’t stop the band formed around singer Dale Radcliff and drummer Kev Tonge from moving on forward. And so, the gang joined German metal legends RAGE on their tour through South Korea, Taiwan, and Russia. Barely settled in back home and they were already killing it on a tour across the United Kingdom with Skid Row and Nightranger followed by accompanying Tri State Corner on a tour through Germany in May. “Keep On Moving” is the new EP that will make the wait for the next album (coming March 2019) a bit more bearable. It features 4 tracks including a Spanish version of the song “The Doubt” sung by talented guitarist Marcos Rodriguez best known for helping to shape the new sound of Metal giant RAGE.
