Drones are one of the most exciting new punk bands emerging from the UK, breaking the mould with socio-politically charged messages and are turning heads up and down the country with their much talked-about live reputation.
The band recently released their sophomore LP ‘Exiled’ through Lockjaw Records, a concept record about the European refugee crisis described by Kerrang! as ‘An album as good as it is raging’ (KKKK). The record has been picked up on major Spotify playlists and to date boasts over half a million spins.
The band frequently appear in other media outlets such as Rock Sound, Scuzz TV, Kerrang! Radio and Punktastic, and have previously performed a live Maida Vale session for BBC Radio 1. Drones have had multiple spins on the Radio 1 Rock Show.
Drones have a large touring CV under their belts, having sold out London’s Old Blue Last, headlined fortnight-long European runs in over ten countries, and supported the likes of Neck Deep, Marmozets, Mallory Knox, Young Guns, Funeral For A Friend, H2O and Moose Blood. Festivals appearance include Download, 2000 Trees, Camden Rocks, Rebellion and a main support slot at Camden Roundhouse’s Punk Weekender.
The end of 2018 saw Drones headline London’s Roundhouse Sackler Room, embark on the Upset About To Break Tour throughout the UK and open for Anti-Flag in Europe. The band recently launched a brand new video for fan favourite ‘Anchors’.
