DESCRIPTION

OVERTHROW was formed in January 1987 and consisted of Nick Sagias - bass/vocals, Ian Mumble – guitar, Derek Rockall – guitar and  Wayne Powell – drums. They released their debut demo "Bodily Domination" in April 1989. It was produced by Brian Taylor (Sacrifice, Slaughter, Sudden Impact). During late Nocvember 1989 Derek Rockall leaves and was replaced by Ken Wakefield. Overthrow recorded their  debut CD "Within Suffering" in June 1990 at Morrisound Studios. The album was recorded by Tom Morris (Morbid Angel) and Scott Burns (Obituary, Death, Sepultura). Produced and mixed by Scott Burns. The band released an official video for the track "Suppression". Overthrow was disband in March 1991. The debut re-issue comes with their 1989 demo as bonus plus six extra live tracks. Vocalist Nick formed an all star death metal band in late 2018: Tribe of Pazuzu. An often heard comparison regarding Overthow is: Demolition Hammer + Sadus + Morbid Saint = Overthrow.
