For over 20 years, STRIFE has been a staple in the hardcore scene. STRIFE made their mark as part of Victory Records’ “Big Three” in the ’90s alongside EARTH CRISIS and SNAPCASE. They toured relentlessly around the world, breaking new ground and gaining new fans wherever they went. 2012’s Witness A Rebirth saw STRIFE return to form and proved to the world that they could pick back up exactly where they left off. After touring all corners of the globe including dates in Russia, Japan, South America, Europe, and more, STRIFE knew it was time to release some new music. Incision once again enlists the drumming duties of former SEPULTURA drummer Iggor Cavalera and the record showcases a darker, more metallic side of STRIFE. The title track is a tribute to ’90s Cleveland hardcore, and features guest appearances from one of the craziest voices in hardcore, Human Furnace (RINGWORM), as well as a Systems Overload-style lead from former INTEGRITY guitar player Aaron Melnick. Incision is the first release on War Records, a new label ownedby STRIFE’s guitar player, Andrew Kline. The record was produced and recorded with Nick Jett (TERROR, BACKTRACK, ROTTING OUT). This is the follow-up release to STRIFE’s Witness A Rebirth, which debuted at #3 on the iTunes Metal Chart and #162 on iTunes overall.
