1964-66 was Jackie’s most successful period in terms of overall chart profile, and it’s during these years that some of her biggest hits like ‘What The World Needs Now Is Love’ and ‘When You Walk In the Room’ made their vinyl debuts. They and others of comparable quality are here in this collection of 26 tracks. The songs featured were recorded in Los Angeles, New York and London and feature contributions from producers and arrangers of the calibre of Burt Bacharach & Hal David, Charles Blackwell, Arthur Wright and Jack Nitzsche – and an array of musicians and backing vocalists that includes, at various times, the likes of Jimmy Page, Leon Russell, the Sweet Inspirations, the Byrds, Glen Campbell plus other notable luminaries of Los Angeles’ famous studio band the ‘Wrecking Crew’.
