From the ashes of various underground bands, JARL arose. Originally founded in 2004 by Blutaxt and Mightyraven as an acoustic side project of Black Unicorn, JARL lay dormant for a long time... Nearly forgotten, the ice was broken in 2016, and JARL found new strength. Mightyraven, Natt Kongen, and Blutaxt shaped JARL into a black metal band. The open positions were quickly filled by Hrimthur and Aestus. Now, risen from the ashes and forged into a unit, JARL represents melodic German black metal.
