Publishers with Music Libraries, or Production Music Libraries as they are now known, commissioned composers to write music specifically for this media. At that time, the Publishers were all members of a Licensing Society, and the Library music could thus be made available at affordable rates. Library Music did provide - and still does - a great variety of musical compositions not available on commercial records.
Kevin Peek is a highly regarded session guitarist having worked with a great many musicians on sessions over the years notably for Cliff Richard. He was also a founder member of the Classical Rock band Sky and recorded many best selling albums with them. Still Waters is an album comprising of instrumental pieces Kevin wrote and recorded for film and television. As a whole the music works well together and as an instrumental album many rock fans will enjoy the breadth and depth of style contained on the album.
