Re-release of “The Blue Light Pilot” - another album recorded by a phenomenal band Laboratorium - a legend of the Polish jazz-rock. Music of this group is a perpetual experiment, a constant search for a new means of expression. The album was recorded in the Theatre of STU in Cracow, where Marek Stryszowski enchanted us with an excellent saxophone delivery and Janusz Grzywacz experimented with synthesizers. For the first time ever Grzywacz used a 16 step sequencer, which spiced up the sound with modern bits. Brilliant delivery of Thelonious Monk's song - “Straight No Chaser” - is another asset of this record. It was the first and the only time when a track which wasn’t written by the band appeared on the album. Thelonious Monk’s song was arranged in an unique way, mostly thanks to the mentioned sequencer.
New digipak edition of the album also includes bonus track recorded live in Warsaw, Congress Hall at Jazz Jamboree '85 Festival, 25 October 1985.
