LIKE RATS FROM A SINKING SHIP, the nightmare from the north, came out of nowhere and burst onto the Norwegian hardcorescene in 2008 with their debut SXY SXY GSW EP. Since then the band has never looked back, and have continued at a ferocious pace. And after playing almost 100 shows, writing and trying out new songs the result is finally here: WE GET ALONG LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE – an epic debut album consistent of nine jaw-dropping tracks that will make you shit yourself; whether you are at one of their face-melting shows or sitting in the discomfort of your own home.
Like Rats From A Sinking Ship’s sound is diverse but consists mainly of drums, guitar and synth bass; a rather unusual combo in the hardcore genre. They are not afraid to experiment, and the album has guest appearances by the Scottish folk artist Sarah-Jane Summers on fiddle and viola, and the most insane saxophone solo you’ve ever heard – performed by the renowned jazz-legend Andrew D’Angelo.
