The Modbirds combine soulful ska and rousing punk. Although they were only founded in 2023, they bring with them a wealth of stage experience with members of Los Placebos and The Porters.
Their live debut at "Ska im Westend" in Dortmund immediately showed that they are here to stay. Every spring, the migratory birds return from their winter quarters! So watch out, because the Modbirds are also on their way with their first mini-LP "Spin it to win it".
With their musical mix of ska, reggae and punk, the band celebrates their love of vinyl in five songs spread over two sides, reviving past childhood loves and indulging in memories of carefree times. Driven by powerful horns, catchy melodies and a danceable offbeat, the songs also address social grievances and the topic of mental health.
