One Voice are back with their second album and should definitely be a hot contender for the Oi! album of the year!
After their sold-out debut disc 'Tradition not Trend', numerous singles and sampler contributions, the band has produced and recorded the follow-up with Heartbreak Engines' Okie. And the 12 new songs impressively show that this decision was the right one!
ONE VOICE have further perfected their songs and have been able to fully develop their potential, there is a lot to discover on 'Not everybody's cup of tea'. Of course, not everyone can be as busy as the three friends Joost, Andre and Phil, and we can't even list all the bands the ONE VOICE guys have been in (Diggerz, On the Rampage, Dörpms, Bunga Bunga Club, Evil Conduct should suffice). But the opener "Back in the Days" is a passionate wake-up call to all scene veterans to get their arses up again instead of wallowing in memories... the scene doesn't live by itself 'Don't you think it's time again to go to gigs... sing a long, dance and drink with your friends?'. The crisp three-chord anthem "Cheers To You" pays tribute to all the supporters and scene activists who make this possible.
'Not everybody's cup of tea' is a revelation for fans of the classic skinhead sound! Straight to the point heaviness paired with just the right amount of melody and emotion.
