Pål Angelskår was the lead singer and songwriter of the Norwegian pop group Minor Majority between 2000 and 2010. Although the band aren’t now actively recording, they still play live occationally, having just finished a sellout tour in Norway.
Minor Majority first appeared on the European music scene with the launch of their third album «Up For You & I». The album was released in January 2004, and was an immediate success, boasting 24 weeks in the official Norwegian albums chart, a gold record and numerous awards nominations for best Norwegian pop album of the year. In Europe, the sales were moderate, but the reviews were raving.
After the following tour of more than 100 gigs both nationally and abroad (France, Switzerland, Holland and Germany), the band spent the greater part of 2005 in the studio, and released their fourth album «Reasons To Hang Around» in January 2006. For this album they received excellent reviews all over Europe, and in their home country they were awarded the Norwegian Grammy equivalent:
Spellemannprisen.
