House By The Lake releases their debut album “Woodlands” on Apollon Records in March. With their beautiful harmonies and melodies, their blend of folk and indie is inspired by both traditional American and British folk and newer bands like Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Iron & Wine and Midlake. The band is led by vocalist, guitarist and song writer Sondre Strandskog Arnesen, and the rest of the band consists of members of bands like Ekkolodd, Monstereo and Hypertext.
The band has released a couple of singles earlier, "Dark Horse" and "Redwood", and both was very well received on radio stations especially in USA and Norway.
This five piece band from Bergen, Norway consists of the sole founding member and song writer Sondre Strandskog Arnesen (vocals, guitars), Mads Halvorsen (guitars, pedal steel and vocals), Jørgen Stangeland (bass), Jarle Håland (drums) and Anette Kathinka Servan (keyboards).
Sondre started the band as a studio project only in 2009, but in 2013, House By The Lake became a full band.
