After the first critically acclaimed EP’s, 'The New Groove Complex' and ’Re-Draft', which was recorded at Jacob Hansen Studios (Hatesphere, Mnemic, Mercenary) and mixed at ZigZound by Ziggy (Illdisposed, Mercenary, Hatesphere), Scamp's position improved as one of the most respected unsigned bands in the Danish metal scene. Having performed with Mnemic, Mercenary, Stonegard, Darkane and Evergrey, Scamp delivers unnervingly tight live sonic assaults on its audience, never losing its groove despite the highly technical polymetrics. Scamp signed a deal with Scarlet Records in 2008 and at the end of August they will release their first full length album, ‘Mirror Faced Mentality', produced by Ziggy and mastered by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Moonspell, Hatesphere). The album has been described as a mix between the sonic assault of bands such as Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Gojira, Mudvayne, Slipknot and Chimaira incorporated with intense melodic passages that add an atmospheric feel to the music.
