Sounds Of Fury is a death metal band founded during the summer of 2011 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The aim of the band is to create an original, modern music while respecting the codes of the genre and without imposing constraints regarding technic, brutality or speed. The band’s first album was self-released in 2012 and is then released by Great Dane Records in 2014.
“Mediocracy” is the band’s second album. All lyrical themes are inspired by our anger and the frustrations we go through facing behavior by people we cross paths with in public transports, work colleagues, certain political decisions or after hearing certain speeches on TV, all the subjects bring us to the same conclusion. Our quality of life is going downhill, nobody does anything conscientiously, and nobody wants to assume their mistakes anymore. Our society is a mediocracy. Musically, the band has stuck to its principles, to bring the best songwriting possible and not overdo anything.
The album was recorded at Stage One Studio by Andy Classen in April 2014 because the band really appreciated his work with Dew-Scented, Krisiun and more recently with our buddies in Algebra (mixing and mastering).
The band members have quite some experience as musicians. Will and Nico founded Darkrise in 1998, band which participated, with Axel, in the DTA-Tour in Europe in November 2013. Besides that, all the members regularly play with different bands in different styles of music.
