Thee Gravemen are a two-man trash-blues-rock'n'roll band form the southern Swedish town of Malmo. Lee 'Leadfoot' Tea plays guitar and sings and Devilish Daz plays drums and screams.
Thee Gravemen live in a world of horror movies, werewolves, vampires, monsters, hot-rods, motorcycles and 1950s trash! It’s a mixed up, mashed up sound of all the things these two crazy English guys love!
Both Lee Tea and Daz originate from the South and South West of England, both having formed and played in bands in the UK, Lee Tea formed and played in UK garage band Thee Exciters.
Daz had been playing with many old school London psychobilly bands, most notably was Skitzo from the late 80s onwards.
After meeting up in a dark sleazy Malmo bar one night they decided to form a low down sleazy trash 'n' roll band…. and so Thee Gravemen was born!
Monster Blues is the second LP from Thee Gravemen, and is packed without the kinda wild and trashy rock'n'roll you would expect from these experts in lo-fi Goo! Songs about leather clad girls on motorcycles, driving hot-rods while drinking moonshine, vampire girls, monster parties, psychotic dreams, satanic dances, and just about anything that would fit right into a 1950s trashy B-movie!
The new LP will be released in May 2015, on their good friend and accomplice Dead Elvis's Monster Mash Records.
A cool cult label for a cool cult band! Monster Mash Records and Thee Gravemen have also got together with their good friends at Heptown Records, who will handle the distribution side.
So if you are thinking of having a wild monster party, then you are gonna need a wild monster record, so go grab Monster Blues today!
