Folk singing is a timeless art rooted in the people, expressing universal joys and sorrows through ballads, work songs, protest songs, and more. TIP and TINKER, talented composers and singers, believe folk songs should reflect contemporary emotions. George “Tip” Tipton, a tenor and guitarist from Pittsburgh, and Joseph “Tinker” Lewis, a gospel-trained tenor from Atlantic City, have extensive performance backgrounds. Charles Mal Scott and Joli Gonsalves also contribute their talents.
