Kent presents a second volume from Gerry Purcell’s New York-based GWP label. Purcell made his money through managing major US middle-of-the-road artists like Eddy Arnold and Al Hirt. His entry into the R&B field was largely unsuccessful in terms of hits but he assembled some of the cream of New York talent to create very high quality soul music.
