Pat Records is “The label for those who love vinyl music". Specialised in limited editions, in this wonderful format, of great titles of the Progressive and Symphony Rock, from the past and the present, it comes back with ZEM. If there has been an original project in the Progressive Rock scene in the last years, it has been doubtlessly the one offered by the Asturian band Zem. Led by the vibrafonist Xuan Zem, and many members of “Los Ilegales” band in their ranks, they published their debut album at the beginning of 2008. Their music is based in a strong rythm section, with the vibraphone, the bass and the drum as the basis to build structures close to Jazz Rock, with wind arrangements and sax, guitar and certainly vibraphone solos. An excellent LP, sometimes overwhelming and sometimes atmospheric. Jazz, Rock, Psychedelia... Progressive Rock in capital letters.
