GROMS was a band that had a short and intense career in the mid 90’s in Kristiansand Norway, but several local gigs, a tour in Poland, the EP "Turn" (1993) and full length "Ascension" (1994) made a serious impression on many. They were one of the very few that had the balls do deliver straight up death metal with a strong Christian message in a time when the churches In Norway were still burning. Their musical influences were rooted in the Bay Area thrash metal scene, and for new listeners that appreciate their death metal analog, raw and groovy GROMS is like a time capsule, an authentic album that you've probably never heard, from a time when metal was about getting heads to bang and scaring parents and priests.
