Mystic bagpipe sound mix with weird Drehleier melodies, while huge guitar walls fall down on sizzling flutes – the world of NACHTGESCHREI is full of contrasts: Originally, melodic but still with heaviness, medieval rock without witches, farmhands or cheesy fairytales but straight and modern – somewhere in the middle of hard ‘n heavy, archaic medieval and charming folk. Since in early 2006 the ex-members of the bands "Black Sheep" (Folk-Rock) and "Paimon" (Melodic Death-Metal) decided to join forces to combine their long-year esperience to an unholy pact the 7-piece band from Frankfurt is known as one of the scene’s biggest hopefuls! The band played numerous live shows a.o. with "Subway to Sally", "Saltatio Mortis", "Schelmish", "Fiddler's Green" or the "Apokalyptischen Reitern" which shows the status this band already has in the scene – which is now logically followed by an album: the debut full-lenght „Hoffnungschimmer" will be released worldwide through Massacre Records and the year 2008 will be completelly ruled by the album release and especially the live presentation of the album. It makes no difference if the bands performs on metal festivals, folk fests of goth meetings: NACHTGESCHREI always make a big impression and more and more fans are into the bands’ sound: modern medieval metal, timesless and relentless!
