Winnipeg’s HOLLOW GROUND was formed in early 2003, taking members from local hardcore/metal bands STAND STRONG, FIRST STRIKE and VOLITION. Soon after, the band recorded a five-song demo and gained a strong following after several local shows. Their second threesong demo was recorded in January of 2004, which made quite a stir all throughout Canada and the US. Organized Crime Records signed the band in July 2004 as they went on to finish a very successful Canadian tour. HOLLOW GROUND went back into the studio with producer John Paul Peters to record their debut six-song MCD/7" entitled Cold Reality to be released April 2005. Cold Reality is a stunning combination of breakdowns and sing-alongs, featuring guest vocals by COMEBACK KID’s Andrew Neufeld. HOLLOW GROUND plays fast, straight up hardcore with heavy crushing breakdowns in the vein of HATEBREED, COMEBACK KID and TERROR.
