TRACK LIST

Norwegian band The Loch Ness Mouse have been a well-kept secret for many ever since they were formed in 1992, but this may be about to change: The band`s self-titled album from 2016 (their fifth album) provided the band their first hit and a large new audience in Japan. The record was released on the famous Japanese P-Vine Records label, and talks started immediately about doing a follow-up for the Japanese market. Initially, the idea was to re-record songs from their 25-year long Norwegian career again, but after two or three visits to the rehearsal room, this idea was rejected. Instead, work began on new material, in addition to turning some selected old compositions upside down, with new arrangements and new lyrics. From the two-year process came a brand new album called The Loch Ness Mouse II, a perfect partner to the previous release. Some of the songs on the record are longer, bigger and more atmospheric, and show a slightly different side to The Loch Ness Mouse than the previous album did. Guests on the album include Rhodri Marsden from Scritti Politti (on the cover version of Tracey Thorn's "City Piccadilly Station In Sat Down And Wept"), and is mixed by including Paul Savage (Mogwai, Arab Strap) in Glasgow. The cover was createdin 1954 by the now 91-year-old Swedish painter Olle Zetterquist.
